Hammermill 28#/70# color copy paper has been the nicest all-around stock that we have found for running on our canon color imagerunner IRC3200 and IRC3220's -- anyone have different favorite stocks for running on canon color imagerunner printers?

"Mohawk 98" 32#/80# -- it has a great feel, and the packaging looks great ;) -- the print doesn't generate quite the same sheen as on the Hammermill CCP for high coverage printing, but this stock has a very nice feel.

Similar with Wausau -- it has a bit more tooth and has a slightly nicer feel when flipping through a book for example (in my opinion) but the print quality isn't quite as good as the slightly smoother Hammermill CCP.

Also tried some "Hi-Res" which is very inexpensive - results were good but not exceptional and it felt a bit thinner than the above.

  • MoHawk 80# is extremely nice, especially if the amount of toner is low to medium.

It's not as nice as hammermill color copy paper if you're trying to generate a nice satin/gloss sheen from a lot of toner.

But if you're trying for a no-gloss look with lighter amounts of toner or pastel color, Mohawk CCP delivers an excellent feel and consistent image quality. You could pass the results of Mohawk 80# on a canon imagerunner as a press-printed piece on an 80# uncoated sheet.
