Anyone know how I can get a refurbished or used blower instead of a new one.
    Part Nbr 4012584-02 Blower (1200W)

These things are really expensive. Is there anyway of just fixing these?

I hired a guy to fix mine and when he returned all the parts in the trunk of his car I realized this probably was a bad Idea. I did however find a replacement which saved me a couple bucks off horizons retail. Its an Ametek Windjammer. I paid $1100 for the dual action one (Bigger) if you need more info let me know

That does sound interesting. Ours is still broken. Did you get a speed control as well. Was it able to communicate with the tower? It really seems like a proprietary system so I'm wondering how you got it to work. Thanks for your help! -Jeff

    Hello:
The blower you need can be found at AMETEK rotron techinacl products Kent, Ohio 44220 USA The part number is (1) 360-4913 #119153-01 Brushless Blower -5.7" blower 2stage 240 Ball Bearings elec.control........................Much less expensive............Good luck keep me in mind Joe Castillo / www.Lcegraphics.com

Be sure and double check with Ametek to make sure it is the correct blower. No returns or exchanges.
Also: You can use any air bloer but the only problem is you cannot control it from the touch pad. You can install a bleed off valve and manually bleed off the air if needed. Technology is a two edged sword.

I have a direct replacement for the Vac-100 blower. Part # - 4012584-02 (1200watt). The blower performs as normal with speed controls. You can use factory mounting bracket/hardware. Direct Replacement. Wires are also color coded same as factory blower. Lots Less than Factory. Contact me for info - thinkfinishingfirst@yahoo.com.

Yes, I got one through Ametek in Ohio and it works great, the brackets had to be installed on the outside rather than the inside holes but fit perfectly at 25% of the cost.

I was able to actually get this through Optimal Distribution. I shopped around and found that they had the cheapest price, not only that but the guys there were great! They provided me with CAD drawings for me to compare the mountings and shipped it same day. I connected it myself and have been running it for 9 months now without any issues. Hi,

Tried to contact GinKraft17 - thinkfinshingfirst@yahoo.com regarding his post - direct replacement for the Vac-100 blower. Part # - 4012584-02 (1200watt) but his email bounced back, was anyone able to make a purchase of his direct replacement for the Vac-100 blower.

Everyone here in this thread is recommending Ametek blower 119153-51, does the blower performs as normal with speed controls, are the wires are also color coded same as factory blower.

Hope someone can reply so that I decide on what to purchase.

    Thanks.

Yes, so the 119153-51 works perfectly with the speed controls and the wiring is the same as well. Very easy install and have had no problems.
