We have a system 4000 which up until this week has been working very well for the past 5/6 years. Unfortunately the battery in the collator (DC10/60) control panel has gone down (I didnt know there was one until now!) I have managed to replace the battery but still machine is down. Is there a code that has to be entered? Can anybody help?

Why not Duplo service tech. Generally they are reasonably priced and they just do the job. Don't make the repair takes extra hours or days. I believe we pay $90.00/hr.

    Hello:

Some tips on Duplo Electronic problems.
    1) Always remove all PC board connectors,(Very carefully and inspect the connectors, wires and male prongs. Sometimes just one wire can be stressed ot cut and cause problems. Carefull clean male prongs with tooth bush and vacuum away any dust. Do not use compressed air unless it is canned and made for electronic components
    2) Ckeck power supplies. Often we find customers replace the control PC board only to find a defective power suppy is the problem. All Computer control power supplies are critical to the Boards performance.
    3) Check incoming voltage, Too high? Too Low? No ground connnection?

The above are the most common causes of Electronic problems on Duplo systems. Things even service people fail to check.

Do you know what a E-3-1 error code is on a Duplo DC10000s is? Do you know the correct settings on the inverter?

Hi Joe, thanks for being here!
I have the same system and have been having cutter errors sporadically. It's telling me Malfunction. Knife Index Trouble. Is there anything I should check for?
I did find a belt with the teeth worn off in the Conveyance Driving Section that I have ordered, #014-00136. It doesn't appear to be connected to indexing, but who knows...

Normally simply a build up of dust on the knife position sensors in the back of the machine, 3 sensors on a shaft towards the top of the paper waste bin area. Blow out with compressed air - get it clean and the problem will be fixed unless you have a broken drive chain or other major mechanical fault (check the linkages under the side covers. Work safe, isolate the machine and get some one competent to help - do it if you don't know how!

Warning, if damaged the mechanism can still move - trapping - injuring you even with power off, hence keep your fingers clear of all potential pinch points!!!
