So we picked up a used Duplo Dc 10/60 basically for pennies, when I first powered it up it would run if you hit start, but there were no characters on the diaplay, a day later I turn the machine on and now I get a message 'no data found' and the machine wont do a thing, I guess it was too good a deal, easy fix?

    thanks
    Alan

Machine needs a new battery in the monitor then needs to be reprogrammed, call your local Duplo dealer.

Thats what I did about a month ago, we now have a fully functional machine that has hardly ever been used for a total investment of $650, pretty good deal :)

    Good deal indeed! Nice.

Should the batteries be replaced preventatively in these collators ~every 5 years? If so, did I hear somewhere that you have so many seconds to switch batteries before the memory is lost? (if the existing battery is still ok and not dead) Or do you have to have the equipment to reprogram it when replacing the duplo control panel battery even if you do it preventatively?

Don't need to replace them before they die. It will give you the code. Then have it replaced. However if too much time is lost when the battery is dead it will need a programming board from the mfg or dealer to get it back going again.

Hi, we have exactly the same problem, and just as you described, can you tell us how you solved the problem? our agents in South Africa are more than useless and do not know or do not want to sort out the problem

Hi, we are in the same position, with a "no data" message on the screen of our Duplo 10/60. We have replaced the battery but the error remains. I see that the data has to be re instated, but how does one do that with useless agents in South Africa who do not know what I am talking about

If you bought the battery from a non Duplo source you wont have the reprogramming info. Contact Duplo and maybe they can send you a copy. A copy is included with their batteries.
