    Good evening everybody!
I have just registered with this forum. I apologise if I am posting my question in the wrong category.
It's about my old canons s450. The reason why I am still using this model is because of the very cheap cartridges. In fact, besides the S450 I also own a i550.
    Ok, straight to the question.
I do not know how exactly how to describe the problem or the mechanical components involved into the problem thus I will make use of picutres in order to explain it better.
I apologise for my bad English. I am still learning your language. :)

As you can see on pic1 the component marked with a 1 should normally go down, so that the print head can move freely. It doesn't any longer. Consequently, when the print head moves stucks on it and cannot pass over it.
May it be that the problem is due to the component wich I marked with a 2?
This does not seem to be in the right position. I assume, it should be in that space next to it (If you look at the pic1 you will see that I put some arrows which should help me explain this).

The reason why I think so is also because of the fact that if you look at pic2, you will see that that small fittig on the cogwheel (marked with 3 is not able to touch the component marked with 4 when it turns, shouldn't it?

All this is just a supposition of mine. I might be wrong.

I do not know, maybe somebody is able to understand my bad description and give me some help?
It's an old printer and unfortunately I am jobless at the moment, so I do not have lots of money. But maybe somebody from this forum who lives in London is so kind as to help me repair my printer for little money?

I would be very grateful if you could help me.
I am still new in London, so I do not know how to look in internet for some amateur who is prepared to help me repairing my printer.

Many thanks in advance for your effort
    Kind regards
