Hi, I am a platemaker and on my CTP system I have no problem turning off cutter guides, spot uv guides etc. so as not to make a plate of them. Now my question is this: my co-worker says you can't do this on the Canon Imagepress and to make cutter guides not print you must delete them in pdf pitstop. Surely this is not correct, there must be a way of turning of colours so as not to print spot colours. Please help as I am worried they will delete something they shouldn't.
separations Acroboat pro should allow you to turn off the spot color channels you don't want to print in the output preview and then apply output preview settings to print with those spot colors set not to print.
What machine you have and which RIP is it using? However you must be able to remove the crop marks from while printing from advanced printing options under " marks and bleeds"
