    Hello all,

I am a proud owner of two digital colour printers from canon, one is the C1+ and the other is an imagerunner advance 9070 pro, i love the C1+ i work wonders with it, use its clear coat and do water marks etc.. but even though the running cost of the 9070 is great and its not giving me any trouble, it isnt giving me the quality that i really want, so i am looking to buy a C7010vp any feed back?

    thanks.

I enjoy my C6010 quite a bit. The color and image quality is fantastic. You will also have much less down time compared to the 7000 series due the replacement of ITB cleaning webs with permanent cleaning brushes. As long as you don't plan to run large volumes of synthetics (vinyl, PVC etc) you will absolutely love this machine.

Tough call. Canon has better color for sure. I had an old Konica 6501 for years and it was very reliable.
The Canon needs to have a bit more service (corona wires/grids , developer etc..)
But I have been running way more prints these days that I ever used to with my Konica.

If your priorities are Color and image quality, and a lot of interesting settings you can play around with. I would Choose Canon. If your just running simple copy jobs and small media in a "copy shop" type setting. The Konica will have less down time.

But keep in mind I haven't used one of the new Konica machines. So maybe someone else can chime in about the new 7000 from Konica.

At least your not going with Xerox ;) Sorry Xerox Guys!

The 8000 KM is a fine machine and with the Creo Rip is solid. The 7010VP is also a high quality machine. From those I have talked with that have both, the 7010 seems to be more maintainance needy - that being said, I'm sure that KM would give you a better deal to remove the Canon from your shop.. It really comes down to the service you can get for both - have you talked with any 8000 owners that are serviced by KM to see what they say?
