This is the biggest problem from Canon. They sell the printers and they do not even know how to operate and service. This is a common problem in canon asia. Good thing I have Indigo

Yikes, how complicated can it be?

Can you specify a pantone color to print as clear at the same time the rest of the cmyk data is sent to the rip on the imagepress c1+?

I downloaded the driver and the only place I see reference to the clear toner function makes it seem as if I'd have to create a seperate 1-bit file for the clear mask every time? Is this so, or is there a much faster way to do it by specifying a panone to print as clear if you print lots of clear watermarks?

    Hi all,

You can find a guide to printing with clear toner here. Click agree and it will download a .ZIP file with a guide and files needed for the tutorial.

Also, you can try the Clear Image Editor, which can be found here. Click on the "Product" tab and you will be able to download it. The Clear Image Editor allows for a PDF workflow and on-screen, 3D viewing of a clear toner design. Be sure to download the manual as well as you will need it to correctly install and set up your software.

    Best regards,
    E
