    Hello All,

New to forum so don't laugh if I really look like a rookie. Question I would like to throw out is Canon 7000 vs the Xerox 7000. We are getting quotes from both and have demos on both. The Canon pricing is coming much higher than the Xerox. Granted we are getting pricing from Xerox/Fuji and I think they have the backing to much more aggressive. Beside price, can anybody tell me any thoughts, concerns, experiences they have had on either machine.

    Thanks

In reality, you are paying for service and supplies. Who gives the best service, how much is toner, etc,,
The C7000 and Xerox 7000 are not the lates and greatest. They just kick *** on consistency and quality, Konica/Minolta c6501 is the newest and for the cost, 1 canon vs. 3 c6501's ??

Thanks for replying gsluski, your right that what it is coming down to with us. We ask for references from both Xerox and Canon. When we talked to all of these people they pretty much all said the same thing. Quality was equal but the service was not. Canon is promised 2 hour response time for a machine that was down, and after screaming on the phone finally got somebody 2 days later according to another source who was not recommended as a reference. I also have to warn you about Konica. I currently have a Bizhub C500, and I am not happy with the machine or the service. Now the service comes out when I need them, but what usually seems to be the case is that it prints worse after I have had service than before. I did do a demo on the KM Bizhub 6500, but found the drawers could not hold the heavy stock I needed to run (100#cover) and it did slow down.
