    Hi,

Rather non-technical question.. But when printing to this unit and trying to select a paper type, the only available option is plain paper. I am trying to print 16p A4 catalogues on gloss.

I have downloaded and installed the recent drivers and this hasn't helped.

While I can set the paper type to "Plain Paper" and print off a single copy at a time, if I do anymore than this it seems to get too hot and the ink smudges all over the pages. I'm assuming this problem is due to the wrong paper type selection?

Hope you can help, this is very frustrating!

On the machine itself hit the additional functions button -> common settings -> then register paper type and set the paper type for the tray the gloss is loaded in.

I suspect you will be disappointed with the flat look of the IRC3220 toner on the gloss stock though.

    Excellent, thanks for the help.

I was reading about the dullness in one of the other threads. Forunately i'm only printing technical catalogues which will be read by engineers and site people and they're generally pretty easily impressed.
