Default ImagePress C1 and T1 Server too slow

I'm from Germany, we have the ImagePress C1 with T1 Server. If we print a TIFF (20 x 20 cm in 600dpi 87MB) from FreehandMX, it needs 3,38 Minutes for spooling. If I print the same TIFF with the Preview software from apple, it needs 23 seconds for spooling.

If we print a FreehandMX-document with 4 pages and TIFF documents placed, we need 12 minutes for spooling, and that is definitly too slow! We are working every day with such documents. Does anybody know how to solve this?

We ask our supplier but there is no answer...

T1 printer-driver version 1.0
(iPRC1) T1 Server version 1.01

Did you try to sent same jobs with another software? We sent jobs with Indesign 10-300mb and we dont have problems. How many memory did you have installed in the C1 and what is the speed of your network card?

Today, we found out that the reason of this problem is in the CUPS-filter in the PPD. We switched off this filter and tried to send the data again and the result was that the spooling time reduced from 7 minutes to 2 minutes, so wunderful! But it was not the solution because we didn't know what the fuction of the CUPS filter is.

After researching in internet, we found out that QuarkXPress7 has also problems with CUPS-filter and there is a CUPS-filter-Fix software existing from efi.

http://services.efi.com/support/driv...ver= 2.2.0f03

We fixed the CUPS-filter with this software and it seems that everything is okay now. We will go on with further tests. We hope that we fixed it now...

So sorry for my bad English. Thank you very much for this nice forum.
