Sorry if this is in the wrong location, but there are soo many options on where to put this
i work for a small group called the ShenMicroMAGAZINE
we are in our early developing stages, but we have encountered a problem on our first test print. The problem is were working with font sizes of 1-1.5 and our printer just prints straight line blurs. Now we are working with very fine lines and small graphs, and if we cant fix this problem, the entire process is a failure. So can someone recommend what to do or maybe a printer that will work?

Wow - you are printing 1 pt and 1.5 pt text size? What is the application for this very small type? I can't recall ever printing smaller than 4 pt on a color copier...

I didn't do this test when I first got my new docucolor -- I'm only interested in what the normal reader can see with their naked eye -- but now you've made me curious so I ran arial, times, and courier on my 2 1/2 year old canon irc3220 ("print resolution Up to 2400 dpi equivalent x 600 dpi (color & b/w) Halftone 256 Gradations") and my new xerox docucolor 242 "Resolution: 2400 x 2400 dpi (2400 dpi x 1 bit)") Attached are the results. 1 pt is pushing it (on xerox copy paper here) but readable. 1.5 pt is better. On my old printer... (so I guess I'll stay working in the land of what's visible to the naked eye!!!)

the application is sort of a "souvenir" thing. We are a very small town and we are trying to make micro post cards, magazines, business cards, newspapers, to be sold at local exchanges.
