    Hi,

I have the iRunner C3220 C-2, but I cannot get the scanner to work and I think I have all the drivers downloaded, when at the Copier I select the Scan and it shows me online or offline, I select online and nothing happens. I go to the PC with Windows Vista on it, select the driver or scanner gear program and nothing, it tells me it sees it, but nothing.

What I trying to do, use scanner to scan documents to bring up on the pc. If this helps, it will make copies fine and print from CWS4 fine.

    Anyone? Thanks in advance.

    Sean

You need Canon Color Network ScanGear downloaded and installed on your PC (not sure if it works with Vista). The program has to associate when you set it up with MS Word or another program. You then put the copier 'online', put your docs in the feeder or on the glass, go back to your pc, open Scangear and 'pull' the docs over... If you are under service, a tech should be able to help you set this up...

Color Network ScanGear does work fine with vista business 32-bit version. Are you on 32-bit or 64-bit?

When you launch the "ScanGear Tool" from the start menu, does it allow you to select your scanner from the list of scanners it discovered in the middle box and shows the correct ip addres/details at the top?

(as an alternative you can also go to the fiery/printer menu (if I remember right - has been a long while since I've done it on this machine) and scan to mailbox, then use fiery remote scan to retrieve the document from the mailbox into your program or save as pdf, jpg, etc. but I like network scangear better for my uses too...)

When you say "nothing" when you go to photoshop/photopaint/other program and go to acquire with the color network scangear selected as your twain source, literally nothing at all happens - no error message, but no scan dialogue?
