Default HP CM8060 cost per print information

How does the HP CM8060 compare to color copiers in terms of cost per print doing medium to heavy ink coverage?

I think we may have to wait a little while for this information. I first got a call from HP in response to my request for samples and real-world cost-per-print information, but my inquiry was referred to a specialist. Then I got that call and was told that all pricing information would be given to me by my local resellers. Then I talked with my reseller today and they said they would have to research the cost-per-print.

Combined with HP's "Smart Printing Services" where your cost is reviewed and adjusted every year without a contractual cap, I fear Edgeline cost per print could still be somewhat volatile at this point.

Hopefully we will find out more in the weeks to come as ink might offer some interesting new possibilities / finish qualities / etc... if it's cost effective to run this machine. Will post if I find out more... unless others are able to get some information from your local reps first and beat me to the punch, which would also be much appreciated.

No, I recieved neither print samples nor pricing information. HP sales people were nice and friendly on the phone, but when I asked specific questions about durable and consumable costs and contract specificities, HP referred me to a local sales agent, and the local sales agent referred me to HP and neither ever did provide either print samples or pricing information. Maybe I'll try again in a few months when they have more data on the machines. Right now they seem pretty green.

prices vary - but...

0.014 for B/W
0.050 for color, with "Color Accent" the same as B/W

Thanks very much for the pricing info Greg - I never did get either pricing or print samples from either HP nor my local dealer last fall. Unless they decided that I wouldn't be a good fit for the machine, I guess I should follow up and see if they have some for me directly now 6 months later.

Are the prices quoted for letter size only or for any size per one click?

The price or the blog?

The blog is cool.

I was hoping the hp price per print would be even lower though. Unless the print quality is higher than color copier qulaity the price seems a bit higher especially since the contract puts more risk on the customer side than a typical color copier click contract and since I'm thinking paper cost would be higher due to the ink probably being more demanding than toner which sits on top of economy stock nicely. (And I'm not sure the allowable color accent percent is enough of a percetage to be useful to me, but it could be a cool feature though.)
