i was wondering about converting rgb images in general hexachrome was one method — has anything replaced it?
I was going to ask what you are printing and who is printing it. There were adobe hexachrome plugins for photoshop and indesign. I don't think adobe is updating them any longer.
doing the color seperations is a simple technical issue , but why do it ? it may take a few tests to get the result you want and the question is , is it worth it ?
I had a customer who printed his packaging for years in 4 color proccess , until he was offered an 8 color change. it cost him an arm and a leg and hell time , and he got no better result so he changed back to 4.... it depends very much on the image as not every image will gain from it hence....show us the image
i'm designing a book with hundreds of images that i would like to print in 6c ... will i have to manually separate each image?
i was hoping there were scripts or software that would perform 6c separations of rgb images just as cmyk separations are naturally built into desktop publishing
If you are willing to accept a :standard" set as your seperation - it is available. but this will nover be good for all images unless your willing to get crap as your result.....
