We have purchased an ATF Chief 117 1 color press, and will be moving it to a commercial/light industrial area. We have a bit of a concern with noise and vibration. Would it be possible to place the press on top of a hard rubber mat to help dampen the vibrations, or would this throw the press off too much?

    Thanks,

    - Don

That's not a very heavy machine. I would use very hard oil resistant material.

dont they usually put down an oil pan as standard procedure? wow an ATF , I ran one 30 years ago , even ran 4/c work on that machine and it was a solid press. Good luck with yours.....

I know that many 10 inch presses used to stand on hockey pucks for that reason - but maybe they are not so easy to find in Hawaii. but any thick rubber mat does the same job. And the donĀ“t pass on so much vibration to the floor because the printing is seated on coil springs what i can remember.
