Hi sir, certain blanket washers, glaze remover, abrasive cleaner
can cause permanent damage to the transparente rollers covers.
Always testes before to use in order to prevent that type of problem.
Clean the press with cleaner sheet always With the ink and water control off, start the press and apply small amount
of blanket wash to ink rollers.Turn on the iink form roller, after a few revolution, turn off them.Stop the press and remove the cleaner sheet and repeat the procedure untill the rollers are clean. All the rollers can be clean to avoid the process buildup of glaze.
    Regards
back to me any question or doubt

If it needs it, deep cleaning with a deglazer can only help.

I've never run a Printmaster, but we have Kompacs on GTOzs. Jobs with little ink coverage can cause the some trouble on Kompacs because there is no water speed control... there's not much manipulation the operator can do.
    Some questions to follow up:
    1) Has there been any change to the fountain solution?
    2) Is the water form to plate stripe set correctly? Is there any bounce in the unit?

If those things are good, then the suggestions I would make would be to ensure that you are running as little ink as possible (turning down ink keys) and and increase the nip of the Kompac unit to allow less water.

If its an option, you could run the job on oversized stock and have take off bars put on the plate, so that you're not over inking. Of course that adds waste to the job, but so does emulsification, scumming, and the time spent trying to fight with it.

Again, I'm not familiar with the Printmaster. On the GTOz, the water form stripe adjustment knobs stick out the feed side of the press below the Kompac unit. Sometimes the stripe will look okay on the plate, but if you put your fingers on these knobs, you'll be able to feel it bounce every time the gap comes around if it is set too tight. I've always tried to set them to where I can just feel a slight nudge when it comes around. I try to find where it scums and just increase the stripe slightly from there. This would put less stripe to the plate, so you may be able to leave your nip on whatever number you have it set. We usually run ours in the range 2 to 3.

If the entire Kompac unit is moving around significantly, make sure that the unit is in the same position on the mounting brackets on both the operator and gear sides (square to the press), and that the bolts that hold it in are tight.

Thanks for your reply DeluxeBD GTOZ is the same configuration as the printmaster because i have worked on before what's the best way to know if it's square to the press by the way I'm not at work at the moment I'm finished for the weekend back on Monday.

We just try to keep the edge of the brackets attached to the Kompac unit flush with the edge of the mounting brackets that are attached to the press. These are mounted together with two bolts on both the operator and gear sides. If I recollect right, there is a flat head screw between the bolts that if you turn it while the bolts are loose, it'll move the unit in or out... kind of fine tuning it.

The only other thing that I can think of mechanically with the Kompac unit is to make sure that the oscillator roller underneath is touching all the way across at it moves back and forth. It has replaceable plastic blocks on the ends of the roller shaft that slide into the mounting brackets... over time, they can get worn, which drop the roller enough to take away from the stripe. If that's the case, the ink that gets back to the dampener may not be getting milled out very well, causing build up and emulsification. Good luck!
