How to adjust buckle on 3302

Can someone PLEASE explain how to adjust the buckle on the 3302?
I have it all out of wack and I'm printing 4 color on 4 jobs 6000 impressions each.
    Thanks

Your buckle adjustment should roll 1 and a quarter turn. First inch the machine until you see the steel roller move. Now reverse it a little and line up the roller so that one of the holes on the end is facing up. Then begin to inch the machine and count the rotation of the hole. If it goes to much turn the adjustment screw with the arrow on it clockwise. Counter clockwise increases the buckle.

    Good luck

I call it a lower feedroller adjustment rather than buckle. But that's me. LOL. You can eye the rotation on the steel roller as tstruth said and that's how Ryobi will tell you to do it. But you want to have enough pressure so the register does not bounce up and down. I would do several register checks to get it right. Run 30-40 sheets of text weight stock (light coverage) and run them back through and look for bounce up and down. Slowly tighten a few clicks counter clockwise till it's good ans no bounce up and down. Dab a mark of white out/marker pen of some sort at 12:00 as a reference mark. Loosen 3-5 clicks for card and 5-8 for env. For the most part that will get you there 98% of the time. But do check register on critical jobs where needed. And find your sweet spots. Remember as the lower rubber feedroller wears and becomes beat after time you'll need to tighten it up a few clicks every so often. Depending on how much the press runs every few years you might have to increase the pressure or buckle as you call it. But by marking it this gives you a quick eyeball guide from stock to stock so you'll know if it's set for text, card or envs.

Now it takes a bit of finess to get good register. Be sure you sheets feed in straight and I run the skid wheels just off the tail of the sheet. Be sure the paper does not hit the side springs before it gets to the headstop. And that the side guide springs are all even. This can give you a side to side bounce or twist the sheet before it gets to the headstops. Give it a good 1/16" push with the side jogger. Or whatever you think it needs as everyone is a bit different how they run things. You'll get the hang of it.

That little white dial in the window on the NOPS...

The most accurate way to check the buckle setting of the feed roller is to feed a sheet in until it hits the head stop, then get out the hand wheel and look for the exact moment the upper steel feed roll contacts the sheet. Stop there and walk around to the non operator side and look in the little window at the white dial. The pointer should be at 0. Walk back around and using the hand wheel and slowly rotate the press until the moment the feed roller lifts off the sheet. Walk around the press and look at the dial, you want to target 34, 35. Do this a few times to make sure you get an accurate reading, and adjust the knob a few clicks at a time. Hope this helps!
