Does anyone know what the future is for the production of the Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46-2. As in is Heidelberg planning to continue making them. I had heard a rumour that they had stopped making them and had No plans to make any more. I find this a great machine, so was surprised to hear that it may be discontinued.
Anybody know anything thats in the position to know.
    Cheers

I have heard the same thing

I was suprised to hear this as well. We have had Quickmasters for years now and they have absolutly been awesome doing what their meant to do, true workhorses.

I noticed a few months ago in one of the printing/graphic arts magazines that a Printmaster was being sold under their name. I am fairly sure it was being sold under the Baum name but it was awhile ago and it struck me as odd. Heidelberg has never done this before as far as i am aware of it.

Times are a changin aren't they!

Hi VanQuill, thanks for your reply. Ye, just searched Baum, came up with picture of a Printmaster, with Baum 18 badge on it, exact same machine by the looks of it. Hope we can still get Printmasters in the UK. In same article though it did say that Baum was owned by Heidelberg.

Baumfolder Corporation is a sister company of Stahlfolder, daughter of Heidelberg in US since 1991. www.baumfolder.com
Here is a press release of BaumPrint 18

So one may say it´s 100% Heidelberg.
