    Hi everyone.
I'm new here and I'm looking for some assistance.

I have a Hamada e47s that has been running like a champ until just yesterday. Here's a little background:

The sheet counter has been slowly fading over time, apparently due to the internal battery finally dying. After finishing my last job for the day, I unhooked the wires to it and pulled it to get the part number off it.

Replaced it, rewired it and tried to start up the press and nothing. It wont inch, no pump, wont start. That's usually a sign that one of the covers is open. While going through and checking them all to make sure they were properly closed, I came across a lower access door that had the safety limit switch basically disintegrating. It was broken apart and hanging loose. It even had been taped together at some point before my time.

So I figured this switch was the culprit but with the switch in pieces, I tried to just wire the two prongs on the plug to close the circuit to see if it would let me start up. No dice.

Everything on the control board is registering as far as I can see. The inching switches show activity on the board, feed switch responds, all the different covers trip the proper section on the control board too EXCEPT the lower door (obviously) and the access door to get under the impression cylinder. Both these doors trigger the same symptoms (cant inch or turn on the pump) so I still think it's the one broken switch, but jumping the two wires didn't do anything.

    Any ideas?
    I'm desperate!

I do understand your point , but if you want to save time - call a PRO press electric engineer in and solve it in one go.

I've got calls out to two different techs, but I am located in a somewhat remote area which puts me a long time from help and am trying to solve this in the meantime if possible.

I don't know your press, or the electrical it involves. But the switch that you are jumping may be a normally open or N.O. switch, by jumping the wires you are telling the press the cover is off. But you need someone who knows this machine to be safe. In tracking down electrical I always back track to the last thing that was done. I would put your switch back the way it was, then see if there is wiring you jarred or possibly switched during changing the counter. This also includes checking any safety switches that may have been tripped in the process.

I actually just located the issue a few minutes ago. There is a second set of 2A fuses on a second board that I had forgotten about and one of them was blown. I may have shorted something while trying to jumper it or when I was working on the other switches.

Replaced the fuse, joined the two wires for the safety switch until the new part comes in and everything is running fine.

Thanks for the help though, everyone.

i dunno Miniature Slip Rings about jeeps, but from my import car days, the CFM's pulled by the mech fan were never Capsule Slip Rings quite matched with the electrics. Usually a elec conversion will free up something like 8-12hp though! I live in Socal and prefer the reliability/cooling of the mech and not having to worry about the wiring/etc of the elec. It only takes one time of not paying attention to slipring pop the motor!

    Hi all
I know this is an old thread but im having a problem.
My Hamada e47s-np seems to have an issue with the CPU board. Does anyone have one of these for sale including the programmable IC that is on the board.
As you all know in the industry that this is incredibly urgent and need to sort it out.
