Hi! First post here and hope someone can help.
I just started a new job and I have never used a Hamada like this (long story).
The DBL sheet detector on my Hamada is misbehaving badly. I set it in the usual folded paper way and it seems to be set but then will not trigger on a double. I have also tried the tighten the detector while running method with the same results.
The detector will act set when you set it but will not detect during a run.
I also noted that while the cross piece it is mounted on is very well secured the slightest forward pressure on it will make the detector trigger rapidly.
But nothing seems to be loose.
    Any ideas?

The micro switch in the double sheet detector ir either bad or needs to be reset. After time they get worn out and behave as you've seen. You can try to reset it. Room needs to be dead silent so you can hear. Sensitivity adjustment is the screw and lock nut on the feeder side of the DSD. Loosen the lock nut a little bit. Closely listen for a very faint "click" as you then tighten the screw in. Then back the screw out a tiny bit until it clicks again, then it's set. After time the micro switch becomes loose and played out. If you need to replace the switch the sensitivity adjustment is the same after you intall the new one. Replace and note wiring should be the same. This should fix it.

    Thnax!
I will give that a shot on Monday. I am guessing I will be telling the owner we need a new DSD. This press is fairly old with high impressions so a worn out part is not a surprise.
