No relationship between Alcolor and CPTronics... CPTronics is simply the digital controlling logic which replaced relay logic. Secondly, unless I really missed something, I highly doubt you you'd find an S-line press with CPTronic. I'm willing to be corrected :). Maybe you meant something else in your question?

Depending on the service and parts availability in your country, and your repair budget, the choice is pretty simple. Though CPTronics lends to more efficient production and cuts man hours, it is far more expensive to maintain when control components fail. But, again, when you're looking at an SORMZ, CPTronics is not a consideration to be concerned about, as I'm certain there was never CPTronics offered in the S-Line presses, though Computer Print Control (CPC) was. Lastly, to the best of my knowledge, as CPC is the acronym for computer print control, CPTronics is simply short for "computer print electronics"...

Same machine, mechanically. Once you learn to master the CPTronic controls, you'll save many footsteps through the workday.

Just to add to Junker's reply, Most of the symbols on CPTronics are similar to symbols on buttons of a conventional press. You just need to get used to it.
