check printing

I have a small printing company, and currently any check orders we farm out. I would like to be able to them in house. The former company I worked for I use to print checks, however that was 15 years ago... We at that time had a reader that would tell us the range of magnetic ink that we had. Would someone please tell me what I need to be able to then in house..

We printed checks for years and had all the magnetic ink and readers and the last bank swithed off that system and i dont think there is a call for it anymore. We print some check blanks on special do not copy paper. This is the same as any other job no special ink or anything. I suggest call the bank to verify though. good luck
