Mother board is fried get a new one or take out all your electronics and convert to mechanical mechanisms that's what I had to do with my 9840 runs like a champ!

 

thanks to quick response i was afraid about that too but i didn't want to bilieve it.
where can i find a mother board?who can send this to me to Greece?
how much may this cost?or i should convert to mechanical?

 

Mother boards are very pricey if you can even find a good one and switching to mechanical isn't hard just gotta change the impression switch to a fiber optic also the counter (my counter is set to impression and one on the feed so I get two counts in case of jams) takes a bit to do but it'll run forever!

 

How would I go about bypassing all the electronic displays and error messages to use my 9840 ABDick as a mechanical only press? The press is in great condition and runs well, however the electronics panel and such seems to have died.

 

its a pretty lengthy process you gotta change your impression switch to a fiber optic, you can also hook the counter to that just know its counting impressions not sheets, switch out the air, feed, and on off buttons with toggle switches. I will take my 9840's covers off and send you some pictures because its converted over to mechanical only, its worth doing it yourself because your already down and unable to run. Also if you can let me know what grade of toggle switches were used. It seems like there is such a mess of electronics on that press compared to older model presses any help in knowing what to connect where would be appreciated!

 

I will get those pics to you by the end of today. Currently it has a job on it so when finished i will take quite a few close ups for you to see how its all hooked up and with some specs on the switches and stuff
