G-Day folks
Newbie to your cool offset forum. I have an old AB DICK 9880 that i'm not using enough and wanted to look into getting some more info on it. It has a Dahlgren dampening system on it.. it works ok, but i'm under the impression a Compac would be better. It does have a external motor on it but i know the company is long gone and some days it really doesn't seem much better than the stock AB Dick dampening systems i've ran. Any thoughts?
Also i've seen pictures of a mysterious 3rd form roller on a few AB Dick presses. As i recall, the lever for them is on the backside (non-op side) of the machine? the 9880 i have is basically a newer model of the AB Dick 375 (17"x22" sheet). Just curious if something like this exists for a 375/9880. Think i've only seen them on 360 / 9800's?
i realize these are pretty random questions for a pretty rare machine.. just thought i'd throw em out here.
cheers
El Raton
